How To Use MyStar

1. Click "Free Chart" or "Register" on the top menu.

2. Enter your name, email, and a password.

3. That's it — you're in! No payment needed for the free plan.

Your birth chart (ජන්ම පත්‍රය / ஜாதகம்) is the foundation of everything in Vedic astrology. To generate it, you need:

• Date of birth — the exact date you were born
• Time of birth — as accurate as possible (check your birth certificate or ask your parents)
• Place of birth — the city/town where you were born

How to enter your data:

1. Go to Generate Chart from the menu.

2. Enter your date and time of birth.

3. Search for your birth city using the search box, or drop a pin on the map.

4. Select your preferred Ayanamsa (Sri Lankan users: choose Thirukanitam).

5. Click "Generate Chart".

6. Your chart will appear with all 9 planets, houses, yogas, and more.

7. You'll be asked "Save this as a profile?" — click Yes to save it for future use.

💡 Tip: Don't know your exact birth time? Select "Birth time unknown" — MyStar will use noon as default. You can update it later if you find out.

After generating your chart, you'll see:

• Lagna (ලග්නය / லக்னம்) — Your ascendant sign, which defines your personality
• Planet positions — Where each of the 9 planets were at your birth
• Yogas — Special planetary combinations that bring fortune or challenges
• South/North Indian chart — Toggle between chart styles

Click "Read My Chart (AI)" to get a plain-language explanation of what everything means. No astrology knowledge needed!

The Dasha (දශාව / தசை) system maps your entire life into planetary periods. Each period brings different themes and opportunities.

1. Go to Dasha Timeline from the menu.

2. Select your saved profile (created in Step 2).

3. You'll see three views:

• Life Timeline — Scroll through your entire life, see which Dasha you're in now
• Classic Table — Expandable list showing all sub-periods
• Age View — Select a decade (20-30, 30-40, etc.) to see what's coming

💡 Tip: The golden marker shows today. Click anywhere on the timeline to see what Dasha was running at that time.

Porondam (පොරොන්දම / பொருத்தம்) checks if two horoscopes are compatible for marriage. MyStar supports both systems:

• 10-Porutham — Traditional Sri Lankan/South Indian system
• 8-Kuta Ashtakoot — North Indian system (36 points)

How to use:

1. Go to Matchmaking from the menu.

2. Enter birth data for Person A (bride) and Person B (groom).

3. Click "Check Compatibility".

4. See the full factor-by-factor breakdown with scores.

⚠️ Important: Rajju Dosha and Vedha Dosha are shown with red warning banners — these are considered serious in Sri Lankan tradition. Always consult a qualified astrologer for important life decisions.

MyStar generates personalized predictions for different time periods:

• Daily — Today's energy, best actions, things to avoid
• Weekly — Week overview with best/worst days
• Monthly — Career, finance, love, health for the month
• Yearly — Full year forecast with quarter-by-quarter breakdown

Each prediction includes personalized remedies — mantras, gemstones, colors, and donations based on your current Dasha period.
